Introduction – FDA Maharashtra (Food Section) 

Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Maharashtra is the regulatory authority responsible for enforcement of food safety laws in the State. FDA Maharashtra implements Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 and Food Safety and Standards Rules, 2011.  Also implements various Food Safety Regulations in coordination with the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) in state.

Under the FSS Act, 28 Food Safety and Standards Regulations have been notified. These are:
